The new O400, it’s Heritage from O800

The O400 project began when we started Product Verification Review of the O800. The project goal was to deliver the high-definition and high-dynamic sound which is the sound signature of our new O series through a reference-class IEM with a more accessible price range. To do this, we used the know-how accumulated from developing our flagship O800 for O400.

-Vivid sound with High Dynamics. As the development of the O800 was prolonged, the development of the O400 was sufficiently mature, and as a result, it implemented a high-definition, high-density sound with a perfect balance and a sense of dynamics. The sound of the O400 is so natural that it expresses the music very close to the listeners and makes listeners forget that it is heard through IEMs. It gives you the same immersion as listening to the recording in a large studio.

Among the four BA drivers used in the O400, three are from Knowles, and one is customized with our technology based on the design experience of the O800 drivers. All the drivers in O400 are carefully selected, designed, and screened and the combination of new drivers and Knowles drivers reproduce perfection in ultra-low, medium-low, medium-high, and treble.

-PRECISE CROSSOVER NETWORK

The O400 used an innovative four-way crossover network. Through a delicate micro-design, Crossover network of O400 perfectly implements the sound that we intended.

-HANDCRAFTED RESIN SHELL

The housing of the O400 is based on the new housing shape of the O800. It is made through delicate handmade crafts through the hands of qualified engineers.

-HANDMADE CLASS 8 WIRES BRAIDED SPC CABLE

The Oriveti 8 Wires silver-plated copper wire is made of high-quality low impedance wires to prevent loss due to cables.
We applied 0.78mm 2 Pin connector which is more durable and general purpose than MMCX.

-AZLA SednaEarfit™ Xelastec

In addition to the Bullet Shape Eartip, Bowl Shape Eartip, Double Flange Eartip, and Formtip, we offer AZ’LAs SednaEarfit™ Xelastec Eartips.
Xelastec Eartips has an auto-fitting system based on the user’s body temperature, providing a snug fit just like custom IEMs.

So, in the end, the Oriveti O400 is a bit of a genre-directed specialist of an IEM in terms of its ability to pair well with certain musical stylings better than others. It is dry, deep, gritty, and warm in both its presentation and particular tones, especially for an all BA-driven set, and this lends it to be utilized in specific use case scenarios- such as being somewhat of a master of the distorted, electric guitar. As a guitar player myself, I very much enjoyed listening to the Oriveti O400 during the time it was in my possession, and I thank, Dave, The Honest Audiophile, for sending this rather unique earphone into the channel for review. I look forward to hearing other offerings from Oriveti in the future.
